As for logistics, the main entertainment stage will be set near the Chase Bank building. The parade begins on East Second Street and then heads toward Livingston & Bayshore Avenue. Fun fact: many local business owners and dignitaries also join the parade. Keep in mind that Long Beach is extremely busy this time of year, so we recommend booking your accommodation beforehand.Held since 1983, this annual holiday-inspired parade is a long-awaited event, for which people prepare in advance. The Belmont Shore Christmas Parade is a part of the Belmont Shore Winter Village fest, taking place in early December. The parade itself features all kinds of entertainment, like a bunch of marching high school bands, floats, dance troupes, various local ensembles, and a special live concert, closing the show. MacRae is vice president of government affairs for the west region for UPS. He began his career there as an unloader in the Anaheim package facility and worked his way through the ranks. He’s a well-known Facebook personality, famous for both selfie pictures and almost daily heartfelt meditations. Part of the new has been prompted by MacRae’s selection as grand marshal. This year, former La Strada restaurant owner Lisa Ramelow will give up walking the parade route to announce the event from parade central in front of Chase Bank.

This is the first parade since 2019 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But it is coming back full strength, according to Belmont Shore Business Association executive director Heather Kern. The BSBA presents the parade, with sponsorship from the Port of Long Beach and Third District City Councilmember Suzie Price.
Ramelow will be joined by John Grossi and Paul Slater of 908 Magazine, interviewing people in the parade and spectators as well, Kern said. Instead of a delayed public access television appearance, this year’s parade will be live streamed by Grant White Productions on belmontshore.org.Kern said it’s recommended people park for free in the Ocean Avenue beach lots just a few blocks from the parade route. After 3 p.m., more spaces will be available at Marine Stadium. No chairs, blankets, tables or ropes to save space are allowed on the sidewalks or medians before 5 p.m. — items will be removed and taken to Bayshore Library, where they can be picked up after the parade. There will be porta-potties on some side streets along the 14-block route. The Grand Marshal is Bruce D.D. MacRae, who had served as the parade’s emcee for several years before the pandemic and is known area-wide for his philanthropy and board involvement, particularly at Long Beach State sporting events, along with the Long Beach Police Foundation, the Long Beach City College board of governors, the board of trustees of the Battleship USS Iowa and more.Long BeachWhen the 38th annual Belmont Shore Christmas Parade steps off at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, lots will be familiar, but plenty will be new as well.

Why is the Raleigh Christmas Parade so early?
The Raleigh Christmas Parade has been held the Saturday before Thanksgiving dating back to 1939. The parade took a hiatus for a few years because of World War II. Local merchants hold the parade the week before Thanksgiving to kick off the holiday season and to encourage you to shop local!
As many as 50,000 spectators are expected to flood Belmont Shore to watch the parade. Shore side streets will be closed at 2 p.m. up to the alleys behind businesses, and Second Street will be closed to traffic at 4 p.m. (Cars still parked on the street will be towed.)Kern added that all of the area high schools will be marching, along with other youth entries. City officials, elected and appointed, will be in the march, and Santa Claus will be riding his fire engine to complete the parade.“All of your favorites will be returning like the Corgis, and the drum lines as well as many new fun surprise entries like a group of Dalmatians,” Kern said in a release.“Humbled to be given this honor,” MacRae wrote in an email. “You know I love my Long Beach. My mom’s family was raised in this great city and decided to raise us all here. My Dad was raised in Avalon and they met here. So being a second generation American and truly a second generation Long Beach Native, I’ve raised my children here and now have my grandchildren being raised here. Four generations who’ve enjoyed the Belmont Shore Christmas — I’m excited and looking forward to our return of this great parade.” “I am so honored to be one of the hosts at the return of our wonderful Belmont Shore Christmas parade!” Ramelow said in a release. “This community is my pride and joy.” The parade starts at Livingston Drive, marching down the eastbound lanes of Second Street to Bayshore Avenue, then back up the westbound lanes to disband at Livingston. The parade lasts about 3 hours.Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. Use this guide page to learn everything you need to know about the parade and where to watch it.Universal’s Holiday Parade Featuring Macy’s is a delightful seasonal parade that lasts about a half-hour. In it, a number of floats parade through New York and Production Central in Universal Studios Florida, featuring characters from Despicable Me, Madagascar, and Shrek. Santa himself makes an appearance, and guests will want to get a great photo of him waving in front of the massive Christmas tree that sits in front of the Tribute Store.

What time is the Belmont Shore Christmas Parade 2022?
6-9 p.m. December 3, 2022, 6-9 p.m. One of the biggest parades of the year in Long Beach takes place on a Saturday in December (usually the first Saturday) in Belmont Shore, a beach community south of downtown. CachedSimilar
After this introduction, the characters you know and love begin to make their way down the street. The first of these is the Despicable Me franchise. Three total floats comprise this segment of the parade. The Minions are first up, hiding in an impressive Christmas Tree float. They are pulling a balloon that seems to be of the same home-made nature as the unicorn they made for Agnes in the first film. The Minions are followed by the Gru family — Margot, Edith, Agnes, Lucy, and Felonious himself all wave and greet guests from their float. A large Minion (in a festive sweater) balloon follows them. The last of the Despicable Me floats is a delightful display of some Minions doing what they do best — getting into some trouble. Looks like this time, they are trying to ski. What could go wrong?

A little further down the street, across the way from Starbucks, is also a great place to take in the parade. This spot is perfect to see the floats and balloons coming down the street. Guests who want to capture the most content in their photos and video usually prefer to stand here when watching the parade, since this angle gives you a great opportunity to show the “processional” aspect of the parade.
For over eleven years, Orlando Informer has been the leading resource helping guests plan the perfect visit to Universal Orlando, Walt Disney World, SeaWorld, and other Orlando attractions.

The next group of floats carries the characters and joy from the Madagascar franchise. First in this series is a float and a balloon dedicated to the penguins of Madagascar. Rico, Skipper, Private, and Kowalski are all here to wish you happy holidays. Next up is a float with King Julien and some of his biggest fans. They are, of course, pulling a balloon of a giant pineapple. Can anyone explain the significance of this? The final Madagascar float carries Gloria, Melman, Marty, and Alex. Of course, season-appropriate tunes go along with these floats and get the proper, tropical spin.
This option is our most recommended simply because it will put you closer to the Christmas Tree that stands outside the entrance of the Holiday Tribute Store. This beautiful tree is the perfect backdrop to the photos and video you will inevitably take of the parade, so this spot comes in as our number one recommendation. After you’re done singing and dancing with the animals from Madagascar, it’s time to boogie with the characters from Shrek. The ever-in-trouble Gingerbread Man arrives in balloon form, and greets guests for the rest of his Shrek friends. He leads in front of a float that carries The Three Little Pigs who have gotten into some trouble in a house. These guys are being trailed by The Three Blind Mice, who are, of course, being followed by The Big Bad Wolf. Donkey enters next, fittingly on his own float. Who could possibly compete with Donkey, after all? One of his dragon-donkey offspring follows him as a giant balloon, while Duloc residents and Puss in Boots make their way down the street. The Shrek franchise portion of the parade closes out with one of the more beautiful floats — a float with Santa Shrek, Fiona, the Dragon, and Pinocchio all together. Shrek wishes happy holidays to everyone, showing just how far he has come from his “What are you doing in my swamp?” days. In the final act of the parade, a series of classic Christmas elements are represented. Toys come to life, from robots to letter blocks. A nutcracker looms over the audience in an impressive balloon. Of course, the star of the show is the grand finale — Santa himself. Elves dance out before him, and his reindeer come in on two floats. Santa Claus closes out the parade on his sleigh and wishes everyone holiday cheer. He also thanks guests for writing him letters from all over the world and waves atop his impressive float. The parade ends on one final balloon — a gold star displaying the Macy’s logo. So now, the real question: where should you go to watch this spectacle? Orlando Informer has two options for you. Both require you getting to the location a bit early (between 15 and 30 minutes, to be safe) and will provide a great view for you and your party to see everything. Universal’s Holiday Parade Featuring Macy’s takes place nightly at 5:30 in Universal Studios Florida. On the rare occasion that the park closes at 6:00 PM, the parade will take place at 5:00 PM. Dates and times are subject to change without notice.

Orlando Informer was created twelve years ago with one simple concept: you deserve to save time and money on your vacation to Orlando. Much has changed since 2011, but that mission hasn’t. Our team is thrilled to offer you theme park tickets that save you time and money. We’re thankful you’re here and cannot wait to assist you.
The first act of the parade is a group of beautiful ballroom “dancers” on stilts, bedecked in impressive light-up gowns and come before the first float — a blue and white snowflake float that introduces Macy’s and the parade itself. The wintery motif of the first sequence is made complete with blue star balloons with the Macy’s logo, and the parade has officially kicked off!

This high energy parade comes with a great music set featuring well loved Disney favorites like Minnie, Pluto, Aladdin, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid. In California Adventure we recommend asking a Cast Member which direction the parade will be going as you make your plans. Additionally, don’t be afraid to ask for clarification. Some spots along the route may seem like a good viewing area, when in all reality, it is a “No View” zone to allow for traffic. Double check so you don’t get to parade time thinking you hit the jackpot, only to be asked to move.Whether you are young or old, parades are one of the best parts of visiting the Disneyland Resort. In September 2022, Disney announced that Magic Happens would return to Disneyland Park again as a part of a major Disney milestone – Disney’s 100th Anniversary celebration. Disney100 began at Disneyland Resort on January 27, 2023, with a new attraction, new nighttime spectaculars, specialty treats, and more limited-time offerings. The return of Magic Happens adds another layer of excitement to this centennial celebration for the Walt Disney Company.

If you aren’t as picky with your viewing location, you have about 1.5 – 2 hours after this to get a spot, using some of our tips above. Try to be in your spot a half hour before the parade begins. Once you hit this half hour mark, it is pretty rare to get a front-row view of the parade and if you see a spot, we recommend taking it immediately.
The Plaza Inn Dining Package has returned for the Magic Happens parade and reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance – this is the same policy used for all dining and other Disneyland dining packages.Price: Lunch starts at $38 for adults 10 and up, $21 for children, and children 2 and under are free. Dinner starts at $49 for adults 10 and up, $25 for children, and again, children 2 and under are free. Wine is also available at an additional cost.

Where does Christmas Fantasy parade start?
“A Christmas Fantasy Parade” is an annual parade presented at Disneyland Park at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. The parade is a holiday parade that runs (usually) from the weekend before Thanksgiving until the Sunday after New Years.
Each performance of the parade is put on by over 90 performers, including over two dozen Disney characters. The parade has nine unique floats and is performed to two original songs.

With a new song written by Todrick Hall and performed by Jordan Fisher, the Magic Happens parade is incredible. The parade features a mixture of floats of classic and new Disney characters making it a great combination of Disney favorites.Todrick Hall is a singer-songwriter, and the co-composer of Magic Happens. He shares, “co-composing the music for ‘Magic Happens’ was a full circle moment for me. I learned how to dance from watching Disney parades, so the fact that I got to create the music that these iconic Disney characters perform to is pretty much the most epic thing that has happened to me in my life!” Hall began his entertainment career at Walt Disney World Resort as a performer in “Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

There are two parades that accompany both the Holiday season at the Disneyland Resort and the Halloween Season. Make sure to read our full guides to both seasons to get an idea of what to expect if you’re visiting during this time!
Though the parade was supposed to return on February 24, 2023, rare Southern California storms postponed the return of the parade. Once the weather cooperates they will run the parade. The parade runs twice daily. The show returns as a part of the celebration of Disney’s 100th Anniversary!

It is common for the parade schedule to shift and change throughout the year. Below are parades that have run at Disneyland in the past and could potentially make a return.
Lunch Menu: Adults can choose from either Italian Insalata or Chef’s Soup Selection for an appetizer, they’ll choose from a variety of salads, pasta dishes, fish, and chicken for their main entree, and pick from either Tiramisu or Chocolate Panna Cotta for dessert. It is truly one of the most special parades offered at Disneyland. My favorite spot to watch this parade is on Main Street U.S.A. as it’s traveling towards the castle because of the iconic backdrop of the beautiful Christmas tree in the background.

Parade offerings typically change seasonally, so make sure to check Disney’s official website for current offerings or keep this guide bookmarked to stay on top of all the new things coming to the Disneyland Resort. Here is the current parade running at Disneyland right now!
If you want to get the best seat for a parade at Disneyland then you should plan ahead to get the best spot! You shouldn’t arrive 20 minutes before it starts and expect to get front row seats. If you want the best viewing I recommend getting a spot at least one hour before the parade starts. If you want that good of a seat on Main Street, U.S.A then you should plan for 90 minutes prior especially during the busier times of year like the holidays.Lindsay is a college English instructor and has years of writing experience through various nonprofits, charities, newspapers, and online magazines. As the content director of Mickey Visit, she oversees article content and leads our fantastic team of writers to meet guest vacation needs. Lindsay comes from a dedicated Disney family and enjoys taking her son to the Disney parks as often as possible.

If you want the best bench/curb space, we recommend getting to the spot 2.5 hours before the parade begins so you can reserve your spot as soon as Cast Members allow.
In our experience we’ve found that we can manage to get great front row spots over by it’s a small world up to 60 minutes prior to the parade which is what I always recommend for the best experience! Dinner Menu: The dinner menu is fairly similar to the lunch menu, with the additions of some heavier main entrees for adults like Rib-Eye Steak and Chicken Parmesan. Concept art for the parade was shared that included floats based on Coco, Moana, and the classic princesses. The concept art doesn’t do the real parade justice.

These dining packages will not be offered unless a parade is taking place at California Adventure, we will update this guide with new information as it happens.Trying to figure out when to line up? This well-loved parade is featured every year around Halloween during the ticketed Halloween party. This spooky parade is led by the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow followed by Mickey and Minnie leading a cavalcade of characters and Disney villains. Recently, the Disneyland Halloween party has moved over to Disney California Adventure and is called the Ooogie Boogie Bash.
We will be at Disney in August. Approximately what time(s) are the parades? I’m trying to do an itinerary and I’m not sure where to slot the parade(s) in. I saw a post that said usually at 3pm, but then I saw that they typically do 2 during the peak season. So wasn’t sure about those times?Enjoy California- and Mediterranean-inspired dishes with this dining package. You’ll experience a 3-course lunch or dinner from the prix fixe menu plus a spot in the reserved viewing space.

Disneyland reserved seating dining packages are a nice way to guarantee a good parade spot without having to line up too early is to purchase a dining package. This is a great option if you’re already planning on eating at the Plaza Inn. You still should arrive when the viewing area opens if you want to get a front-row seat in the parade viewing area! It’s important to remember that you are paying for a meal at the restaurant and a separate voucher to a reserved viewing area – you don’t view the parade while you’re eating.
The parade showcases characters from more recent Disney-Pixar releases like Moana, Coco, and Frozen II. In the grand finale, guests witness dreams coming true through scenes from more classic Disney films, including Sleeping Beauty, The Sword and the Stone, and Cinderella. While the nine floats in Magic Happens are moving works of art, the standout among parade viewers has been the original music.Join our newsletter of 100,000+ readers for discounts, planning tips, and breaking news about Walt Disney World and Disneyland. “Essential for planning your trip!” -Helen from Portland, Oregon

Which Universal Park has the Christmas parade?
Universal Studios Florida Universal’s Holiday Parade Featuring Macy’s takes place nightly at 5:30 in Universal Studios Florida. On the rare occasion that the park closes at 6:00 PM, the parade will take place at 5:00 PM.
Typically, guests will not be allowed to reserve seats until two hours before the parade starts. As soon as Cast Members allow this, you’ll start to see families setting up blankets and reserving bench and curb spaces, which always go first. One of the largest annual events in Long Beach, the Belmont Shore Christmas Parade draws around 50,000 spectators to the business corridor and is regarded as the second-largest holiday parade in the region after the Hollywood Christmas Parade. “It’s amazing,” he said. “This is actually my first parade. I didn’t even know they had a parade out here in Long Beach, so being part of it was the best experience, you know just feeling a part of Long Beach and the community.”So Cal Corgi Nation paraded dozens of corgis up and down 2nd St. along the parade route. The parade has been long anticipated, featuring a variety of local businesses and characters of note, with the spectacle being a non-stop three hours of lights, music and joy.

“Honestly I think it’s very exciting for everybody. Look at this crowd. It’s a full crowd so I think everyones excited to be back, not to normal, but to at least have a gathering of family and friends, and I think it’s the best thing that we could have had.”
Alexander Hernandez, LBCC Student Trustee, also reflected on his involvement in walking with other Long Beach City College representatives in the parade. Streets were lined with chairs, blankets and even some tables, as people vied for a good view of the parade route, with barely any room left on the sidewalk for a single file line of pedestrians to make their way down 2nd street. Some of the standouts included a “Polar Express” themed float by Long Beach Little League Association, Long Beach Health Department’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” float and the Socal Corgi Nation, which paraded dozens of festively decked out corgis along the route.

Decked out in lights, decorations and holiday cheer, Long Beach’s 2nd Street was jam packed with eager crowds on Dec. 3 for the 38th annual Belmont Shore Parade.Long Beach City College also had a spot in the parade, LBCC’s cheer team and athletes carried a banner followed by a pick-up truck filled with carolers.

The procession concluded its route around 9 p.m. where it began on the intersection of 2nd and Quincy Ave, with attendees slowly retreating into one of many of the open and welcoming shops lining 2nd street.“I feel like post-pandemic, coming back from not seeing anyone in person, it was really hard because I really missed that interpersonal connection with my community so being able to see that again is awesome,” LBCC ASB President Alanna Jolivett said.

RALEIGH (WTVD) — While there’s a lot of excitement surrounding the ABC11/LeithCars.com Raleigh Christmas Parade presented by Shop Local Raleigh, many residents have just one question – why is the parade before Thanksgiving?

Jennifer Martin with Shop Local Raleigh said the tradition started back in the 1930s. The Raleigh Christmas Parade has been held the Saturday before Thanksgiving dating back to 1939.
One of the largest annual events in Long Beach, the parade typically draws around 50,000 spectators to the route and is regarded as the second-largest holiday parade in the region after the Hollywood Christmas Parade.Simply download the Ride Circuit mobile app via App Store or Google Play or visit ridecircuit.com to get started. The five-passenger shuttles are 100% electric.

Can’t attend in person? For the first time, the Belmont Shore Business Association will be live streaming the parade on their home page and on YouTube.
The shuttles, which are electrically powered, will carry five passengers. There will be four to five shuttles available for use during its time of operation, one of which will be ADA-accessible, according to city officials.

Another old-timer with a lot of kick to it, the folks on Daisy Lane have been offering one of the most popular parades in the city for the last 68 years. It’s a unique community event with lots of bright lights and decorations, holiday displays and nativity scenes, and a whole lot of joy for the whole family. The parade will return to its historic format this year, and will take place on Saturday, December 10, starting at 5 pm. The Daisy Lane Parade began in 1953 as the brainchild of Gertrude Whittle, who worked with the Long Beach City Council and Council of Churches to help decorate the grass median on Daisy Avenue with a Christmas Village and nativity scene. Today, the parade is organized and run by the Wrigley Area Neighborhood Alliance and Maria Norvell, who is fondly known as the Mother of Christmas Tree Lane.
Long Beach is so fond of the holidays that the city is home to not one, not two, but three distinct and very popular Christmas parades – celebrations that wind through popular business districts, historic neighborhoods and charming canals. Here’s where and when Long Beach will be marching to its Christmas beat!Believe it or not, this event has been going on twice as long as the Belmont Shore Parade. Yep, this will be the 76th time that holiday decorated boats and watercraft will wind their way through the romantic canals of one of Long Beach’s most desirable neighborhoods. Everyone loves the boat parade because it offers the excitement and festive decorations in the water below, but holiday cheer also emanates in the brightly and creatively decorated homes all along the canals. The Naples Boat Parade takes place December 10 at 6 pm, with large boats leading the way, followed later by smaller craft. After the parade, and just any day up until New Year’s, Naples is simply one of the most popular places for families, friends, couples and first dates to stroll while checking out all the bulbs and beauty.

For many Long Beach residents, this event signals the beginning of the Christmas season. Now in its 38th year, it has grown significantly over the years. Beginning at Livingston Avenue and headed to Bayshore Avenue, the parade, which takes place Saturday, December 3, takes a full three hours to get to all the bands, floats, vintage cars, personalities and, of course, Santa and his elves. One of the largest holiday parades in the region, the theme of this year’s parade is “Christmas at the Movies,” fitting since Long Beach has a long history of being a favorite location for Hollywood productions, including a lot of holiday fare such as “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.” The Belmont Shore Christmas Parade takes place from 6-9 p.m, with streets closing at 5 p.m. No chairs or personal items will be allowed on sidewalks, center medians or roped off areas until 5 p.m. A strict no-alcohol policy will be enforced by the Long Beach Police Department.

No Christmas Parade would be complete without an appearance by St. Nick! Entries return to Livingston Avenue heading west along the north side of East Second Street. SEast 2nd St. closes to traffic at 5 p.m., which is the signal for spectators to set up chairs and blankets for a front row seat to the parade. Floats are judged based on Execution of Theme, Originality of Design and Spectator Appeal.Over a dozen local marching bands, 100 entries, floats designed by Long Beach businesses and associations, marching bands, and local personalities and dignitaries, all make this the hometown favorite to get you in the holiday spirit. Belmont Shore loves the holidays and is adorned with light pole banners with festive holiday symbols and sentiments.
