In the winter, the Town of Amherst grooms and maintains ski trails at Cherry Hill Golf Course, supported by the Amherst Nordic Ski Association, which was founded in 2018 to promote and enhance Nordic (cross country) skiing in Amherst and beyond. Amherst Nordic provides skiing opportunities for kids and adults, racers and tourers, and has a mission to get people outside in the winter enjoying healthy, exciting, and fun recreation on skinny skis.
