Claflin and former captain George Owen are credited with the first use of line change in a game against Yale on March 3, 1923 when the Crimson substituted entire forward lines instead of individuals. The men’s ice hockey team won the NCAA Division I Championship on April 1, 1989, defeating the Minnesota Golden Gophers 4–3 in overtime. The Cleary Cup, awarded to the ECAC regular-season champion, is named for former Harvard All-American hockey player, coach, and athletic director Bill Cleary, a member of the U.S. hockey team that won the 1960 Winter Olympics gold medal. Sylvania Southview High School is a public high school in Sylvania, Ohio. It is one of two high schools in the Sylvania Schools district, the other being Sylvania Northview High School.Sylvania Southview has also competed in a world championship at the Empire International Mock Trial Invitational in New York City on October 21, 2013. The team finished as #1 internationally after starting the competition at 35th out of 40 teams. “It’s pretty cool,” Mahlum said. “We’re the only two (from Liberty) on the team, and we get to come out, both on the same side of the ball, and we get to compete and work together. There’s stuff we already know, and we’re able to communicate. So, that’s pretty cool.”

Power 5 programs from across the country have beat down Cam Williams’ door as he has gained multiple offers over the past couple of weeks starting with Oklahoma State, along with Michigan State, Florida State, Miami, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oregon, and Texas.Cam Williams played running back at the start of his varsity career, before converting to receiver as a junior. That is his preferred position, though from a recruiting standpoint he considers himself an athlete.

Arkansas was one of multiple SEC programs that came to Gosnell’s spring practice to evaluate Cam Williams and he has recently spoken to head coach Sam Pittman and co-defensive coordinator Marcus Woodson.Crooks broke the Iowa state tournament single-game scoring record with a 49-point explosion as Bishop Garrigan repeated as state champion with a 68-57 victory over Newell-Fonda in March. The Iowa State signee also had 16 rebounds.

Butcher might have stopped swimming for a club team, but this past winter season, he helped the Crusaders boys win the Class 6A state team championship. At the state meet, Butcher finished fifth in the 50-yard freestyle, he was seventh in the 100 backstroke, he swam a leg for the Crusaders 200 medley relay team, which finished second, and he swam on the 200 freestyle relay team, which placed third.As a junior, he was an all-Metro League second-team pick at kicker and punter. He went 4 of 6 on field goal attempts, including a 49-yard boot in a state playoff win over Tigard.
